WHAT IS HARRY KERR

We first met Harry when he was racing a door car on Oahu and looking to "move up" in class. We helped introduce him to Super Comp and with his car. We became "Family friends". At the time, Pro-Gas on Oahu had a program of going to the schools and institutions (Salvation Army Home for kids, etc.) and demonstrating safety, commitment and giving back. Harry picked up on the programs very quickly and soon developed the motto "Anything for the kids and Everything for the sport" He emersed himself in his family which included all of us in racing. He sat on the Board on Oahu as well as BIAC, when he moved to the Big Island. What a joy it was to visit him, Pomai and kids. What fun it would be at the track when he would host us. He gave back to the community in many ways and we all need to learn from his short stay with us, how to share and give back something to "each other". Take a moment to share your knoweldge with someone, help a fellow racer, Try and put a smile on your face, even now, because we are all better people for knowing Harry. Get involved with the schools and less fortunate, it will make you feel good. What is Harry Kerr, one day when I grow up, I want to be like him. He is such a good example, lets all share a little Harry with each other, daily... Aloha and God Bless Pomai, all of Harry's family and each other......Mike Oakland -Hawaii Motorsports Center

That was said perfectly. Thank you!!...... Buddy, Carolyn and the Flashback Crew

That is Uncle Harry. Through his high school drags, he gave us, the keiki of Hawaii a chance to see what the sport was. When you look up ALOHA in our dictionary, the definition is Harry Kerr. Lets share that with everyone we know......Kapua, Reno, Jay and Tanaka

Our hearts are broken with the loss of Harry. We can only imagine how you all must feel. He always made us feel so special and close. Harry was the definition of a giver. He always gave and never took. He has impacted our lives for the good, as he has for many.We will miss his smiles, energy, sense of humor, companionship and his competitiveness. The Hawaii racers will greatly miss having Harry on the track. You have our hearts and thoughts...... Buddy, Carolyn and family and the Flashback crew

We, Donnley Koga and the rest of the Striptease Racing Team would like to extend our love and prayers to you and your family. We will always remember Harry for the "GOOD MAN" that he was. He will never be forgotten!! May God Bless you all!! With all our love......Donnley, Monica and Family

We were and are still in shock after hearing the news that Harry had passed away. Yes he loved to race. We know he really loved you and your kids too. Yes he will be missed by all that knew him. It is true that you will see and be with him one day this I know for sure. We must all continue to remember him and all that he has done for BIAC. We love you my cousin and auntie. Our prayers are with you always........Aloha Ke Akua (God Bless), Rocky and Kristopher-Robin

Pomai and family: We love you and our heartfelt condolances go out to the whole family. We will pray for all of you. Harry is one of the best examples of those "who walk the walk after they talk the talk". He will be a shining star for all of us to follow. When we started oh so many years ago, I could never have forseen all the good he would bring to not only the sport, but to all of us. May God Bless him and keep him safe in his arms. May we all see him again....... Aloha Mike "Grampa" Oakland

Some of us didn't know him as well as we would like to have known him and are now shocked and sorry that we don't have that opportunity anymore. He is in a better place now, looking down on us, and is watching over you. May our Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ watch over us, guide, and protect us in our remaining days. Pomai - Scott and I - crew for Pistol Pete Racing - send our hearts out to you. Harry was a great man and you were fortunate to have him while you did. We will miss him and his influence in the sport of Drag Racing. May his spirit live long in your children! Me ke aloha Pumehana........Sally & Scott

I could only think about the times we went to the drags and seeing the Kerr ohana in the pits getting there car ready & there jr.dragsters for his son & daughter I use to say to my friends and family now that's what you call "ohana", everyone getting into dragracing and like I use to say the whole family has to love the sport. One thing with Harry, you could ask him anything you wanted to know about doing something to your car or helping someone else, he would tell you what you had to do or he would just tell you when you got the time to do it just give me a call and I'll be there to help you out in anyway I can...........Joe
