Car numbers

Reminder racers, car numbers must be at least 4” high, on the right side windshield, right side window, be clear and legible from the tower day and night. If the tower can’t read your numbers you will have to go back to the pits and make corrections. One-use vinyl stick-on numbers, which can be purchased at the gate for $.50 each.

CALENDAR

Mary Kealoha will be putting together a 2007 calendar with your car as one of the featured months. All proceeds of this calendar will be put toward the purchase and installation of new fencing at the track. Our insurance carrier requires that we maintain and regularly repair the fence around the track. At one of our last insurance inspections, it was brought to our attention that our fence may not meet minimum safety requirements, and our insurance company may choose to not cover our policy - no insurance, no racing!

The calendar will be the standard 12-month, full color, 8 1/2 x 11 on 80# gloss paper. Each month will feature a full color picture of one of your cars. The cost of one full color page is $150.00, the printer will allow up (2) two cars per page. We are also working with the printer to have the car driver and the car’s ET printed on the bottom corner of the page. We are hoping to print (2) two separate calendars, as such we have (24) twenty four spaces available, which are filling up already. We are looking to order about 500 calendars for sale at about $5.00 each. Ron Ceridono has offered to take the pictures for the calendar and we are
hoping this can be done at the 4th of July races, or if you prefer, you may submit your favorite picture.

Checks may be made payable to Mary Kealoha or Gary Long and sent to 4937 Nonou Rd., Kapaa, HI 96746. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Mary at 652-0091 or e-mail at kealoha3@hotmail.com.

July 1 and 2 SCHEDULE

The schedule will be the same for both days.

11 am gate opens. Jrs will be given preference to go to the head of the line to get in first if possible.

12:30 – 2:00 pm Jrs will have exclusive use of the track for their testing and qualifying. The blocks may or may not be removed to allow a shorter turn around. To expedite the racing, chase vehicles will NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE TRACK but can go up the return road to meet their racers.

5:00 pm dial-in slips due for Jrs.

2:00 – 6:30 pm time trials for everyone else. The cones go up to block the access to staging at 6:00 pm so it will take another 30 minutes or so to run out all the cars in staging.

6:15 pm Jrs make their way to staging to prepare for round one of their competition

6:30 pm Jrs round one IMMEDIATELY after the track clears from the last round of time trials.

We will run the successive rounds APPROXIMATELY every 45 – 60 minutes.

6:45 pm Dial-in slips due for all racers

7:15 pm (time approximate) Exactly 30 minutes after the end of Jr’s round one, Jr’s round two will begin

7:30 pm (time approximate) ladders are posted for competition and drivers’ meeting

7:45 pm (time approximate) racing begins with Quick 8 round one , followed by Pro ET round one.

8:30 pm Round three for Jrs with all successive rounds approximately 1 hour apart.

Signup for buy-back ladder will be closed 15 minutes after the completion of the last class runs completing round one.
