I see that August is gonna be a 2 day race? Must be some kind of special event to be 2 days because VITA made it pretty clear that they dont want racing on Fridays. Anyone got any info on it?

The sponsors asked for a two day event, so VITA had to get the ball rolling with permits and insurance. Not to mention we needed to give our off island racers time to make travel plans. The board felt since every thing was in place we would run the event wether or not the sponsorship deal came thru or not. Personally I taught it wouldn't be fair for those off island racers who made plans to come for a two day event and we changed it back to one since the deal fell thru. Hopefully everything works out....

Ya I was thinking that after the Memorial Day event. I was wonderin since we got all these off island racers coming why we demoting to only 1 day. Think of it their way, if we didnt have a racetrack and had to superferry to Oahu would you go for a 1 day event? To bring the crew, hotel expenses, food etc. it costs a lot of money, and for one day it aint worth it. Glad to hear its a 2 day race.

P.S. I heard you got another race car Mark... Got any photos?

Nope not me... its my moms car. Small block in it for now until she gets use to it. Big block and 7.90's some time next year.
