Hello from Australia, I've been to the Puunene track on previous trips to Maui, and am going to be there again in August this year. I'm hoping to attend a drag meet on this trip, and I know you guys are re-doing the tower, and as such have no schedule posted. Any news on any meets during this time? I need my drag racing fix on Maui....really badly!! Mahalo nui, David.

David, if the tower passes all its requirements and we do get running. Our race events will fall on the third weekend of each month. With the exception of Memorial day event. Updates for the 08 start up will be posted as soon as its available. Aloha VITA Board.

Can I take that to the Bank? In the resent past, we have run on the 4th weekend in June. In Nov. the 3rd weekend starts on Saturday, the 15th, or are we running on the weekend starting with the 3rd Friday, the 21st???
A published schedule would help.

Would the BOD like to share with the membership the requirements referred too?

I'll be back out there tomorrow, sorting out some of the 96 wires in the guard rail box and helping with whatever.

To borrow a phrase from DW; "Lets go racing boys" So, come on out and lets get this tower project done

Mahalo and Aloha, John John, nothing is solid as of yet, so don't take anything to the Bank. The above post was just a general format in which we run with. I agree some on some months it may be the fourth weekend. It was just something to give the thread starter something to go with without a finalized schedule.

As for the tower, its building pemit requirements and inspections...... Mark
