Greetings everyone......
A lot of you have been calling about the event and had some ?.
Here is the times of the event:
The gate will open at 7am,
The Blessing will be at 8:30am done by Pastor Rene of Glad Tidings Church.
We will be getting you onto the track at 10am, this will be for a "Freebee Session" which is like a practice. I am sure many of you have gone off roading however this is a competition and you will be allowed as much practice as possible.
The schedule calls for all three events, [1] Arena Race [2] Rock Crawl [3] Steel Ramp to be run on Saturday, however the only competition on Saturday will be the Flowmaster Cup, which will be broken into two classes, American and Import. If you have a dune buggy with a v8 engine, you are American. The only requirement is that your vehicle must have a muffler, it does not have to be a Flowmaster Muffler.
Sunday will be the similar to Saturday with practice in the morning and final racing competition in the afternoon.
Here's how this goes, there are eight classes in each event [going by tire size, unlimited and dune buggy] there will be a winner for each class, they move on to the Event Championship and will run off for the event title. The final top three winners [of each event] will then go into a final group to determine the overall champion.
This is a new experience for many, so we will all learn from this. This type of event is quite common on the mainland today, now its our turn and we will all learn from it. I am looking forward to making the Ke Koa Hao - Iron Warrior, into a series in 2006.
As a reminder, no racers for this race under the age of 18 - in the future we will run a Pup Class.
Also there will be no overnight camping, this is per the County of Hawaii rules, there will be security on site all night.
Should anyone have any questions please call me, Ed Douglas @ 895-1676 or Race Director Conrad Kaleohano @ 960-6895
