I want to be the first to thank the track workers and VITA's board of directors for giving us the chance to run the 3 gambler's brackets on Sunday. There were 22 cars entered in low roller, 3 in high roller and 13 or 14 in the Top Comp. A lot of the rules in top comp were decided last minute and we still had a good turnout and a good race for the spectators. Thank you to Louisa and Danielle for helping us run the "Double E" High Roller. Instead of having only 2 rounds(3 racers) we had a total of 4. Eric Saito was the top qualifier, running closest to his 3rd rd qualifying dial in. He had the first round bye due to that. That was the only way I could see to give the bye to the racer who earned it, not the quickest. It made for good competition. It would be nice to see classes with only 2 or 3 people(ex. 12.90) have a double elimination race. It makes it better for the spectators and racers alike. Thank you again to all of the board members helping out with staging and putting up with a lot of stress.
