MAY 25, 26, 27 & 28, 2006

SPECIAL EVENT CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & ADDITIONAL RACER INFORMATION

Thursday, May 25
Track available for NHRA License runs and open Test & Tune from approximately 12pm – 8pm.
Racer fee is $25. This is the only time allotted for non-competition runs during the entire weekend.

Friday, May 26
Summit Racing Series and Sport Compact racing as usual except Platinum members compete for 150% payouts. Regular racer fees have been increased by $5 for Platinum members and $10 for Sustaining members & Non-members. Also, points will be awarded to Platinum members.

Saturday, May 27
Action will start at 2pm with qualifying rounds for Jr. Dragsters only. Quick 16 Jr. Dragster Shoot Out is limited to the quickest 16 Jr. Dragsters, with the 17th quickest serving as alternate. All age levels will compete together. Eliminations for this class will start as soon as their qualifying is complete although qualifying rounds may be ongoing for other classes.
All racing is bracket-style. If time permits, each class will have three rounds of qualifying. First round eliminations ladders will be posted for all classes except Super 32 Street and Pro ET which will have one round of Q&E to start eliminations.
Top Dragster is open to dragsters, funny cars, roadsters and similar vehicles. Electronics are allowed. Quickest 16 cars qualify. 17th quickest will serve as alternate.
Top Sportsman is a class for door slammers. The class has the same guidelines as Top Dragster, electronics allowed & 16-car field.
Pro Sport Compact will follow the same guidelines as the March event, including a 16-car field. 1320 Performance is sponsoring trophies for the top four finishers.
Super 32 Street Shoot Out is sponsored by Paradise Auto Parts. The following rules will apply: 1) Street cars should be driven to the track; no trailers or tow-bars. Towing or trailering after the event does not cause disqualification. 2) No nitrous. 3) Tires must be DOT legal and have enough tread depth to pass State safety inspection. 4) Exhaust system must exit at body line; header or collector mufflers dumping underneath the vehicle are not street legal. Exhausts should exit behind or after doors. 5) All exterior vehicle lighting must comply with street legal requirements. Cold air inlet in place of headlight is not permitted in this competition. 6) Vehicle must qualify in street legal condition: license, registration and valid safety sticker required. 7) Restating Summit Series rules for Street: 12.00 seconds ET or slower. Summit Racing Series Street guidelines also apply. 8) No fuel checks so pump gas, race gas or avgas ok. Payouts and trophies will be awarded to the top four finishers.
Super 16 Bike Shoot Out is open to all bike makes. The field will be capped at 16, with the 17th quickest bike filling the alternate position.
Pro ET is for vehicles will ETs of 10.00 and slower. The field is not capped at 16 cars. Electronics are allowed. This class offers racers an opportunity to compete in two classes but separate racer fees must be paid for both classes and no refunds will be issued.

Sunday, May 28
Makule is for drivers 55 years of age and older. Valid ID is required.
Classic Car is for drivers of vehicles manufactured in 1962 or earlier. Vehicles with ETs of 8.6 and quicker are not allowed to carry passengers. Racers must comply with basic safety requirements: helmet, lapbelt/harness, proper attire (shirt with sleeves, long pants, covered shoes). Cars must run street tires, no open headers are allowed, no exotic fuels or additives are allowed. Limited to 1/8 mile.
Lady Luck is for females only.
Biker Shoot Out is an open field. All makes allowed and no field cap. May be limited to 1/8 mile.
Jr. Dragster Shoot Out is open to all Jr. Dragster participants, no field cap.
Gambler’s will offer two classes: High Roller (6.00-13.00) and Low Roller (7.00-29.99). See John Hultquist or Jay Nakamura for complete rules and guidelines for each class.
King of the Track will showcase Friday’s & Saturday’s 1st place winners.
Awards Ceremony will be held for all weekend contests (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
