Aloha Street Racers,

Please review the guidelines below for the Paradise Auto Parts Super 32 Street Shoot Out on May 27, 2006.

In addition to the Summit Racing Series “Street” Class guidelines, the following rules will apply:

1) Street cars should be driven to the track; no trailers, no tow-bars
(Towing or trailering after the event does not cause disqualification)

2) No Nitrous. No propane (diesel trucks)

3) Tires must be DOT legal, and have enough tread depth to pass State Safety inspection

4) Exhaust system must exit at body line; header or collector mufflers dumping underneath the vehicle are not street legal. (Exhausts should exit behind (or after) doors.)

5) All exterior vehicle lighting must comply with street legal requirements (cold-air inlet in place of headlight not permitted in this competition

6) Vehicles must qualify in street legal condition (License, Registration, and valid Safety Sticker; not necessary to show insurance No Fault card)

7) Restating Summit Series Rules: Street Legal: 12.00 seconds ET or slower

8) No fuel checks, so pump gas, race gas, or avgas ok.

why call it a street shootout if you are limiting the Et to 12.00? And are superchargers and turbos allowed or is it a Naturally Aspirated deal? IMO, if you won't allow nitrous, don't allow any power adders. And for the fuel check, is methanol ok then?

Aloha Jay,

Guidelines have been established by the class sponsor, Paradise Auto Parts.

All vehicles must be street legal (valid registration & safety sticker). Racers must also drive their Super Street Shootout entry into the facility.

All fuel types are allowed.

We will review guidelines for all classes and the Memorial race program at the General Membership Meeting on May 9 at 6:30pm at the Cameron Center.
